F for Fractions (A-Z challenge) and I'm a guest blogger at ATUE!

Hi everyone!  Before I get started I wanted to let you know I was a featured guest blogger at All Things Upper Elementary today : )
Also, it is the sixth day of the A to Z blogging challenge which brings me to the letter F.  I couldn't help but pick the math topic of FRACTIONS!  I love fractions...hence my guest post was about how fractions and decimals are related ; )  I hope you can check it out--funny how much more time I take on a guest post than an ordinary post on my own blog : )

Back to F... Fractions can be challenging for some children but hopefully we can teach it in different ways and the kids can think that it is really neat!  There are several ways to teach about fractions--there are the fraction bars, the fraction pie charts, fractions with egg cartons (I've had a couple of posts on that), and another way similar to fraction bars is linear distances (often done with string and rulers).

Which ways do you teach fractions in your classroom?
